IV'E BEEN THE VICTIM OF FRAUD,
My limited knowledge of this company, "1 couldn't give a damn Internet"(1&1 INTERNET) is tainted with hate, anger, rage and .......more.
I had my bank details stolen, and the perportrator set up an account, one of many fraudulent transactions, with 1 & 1 INTERNET.
I would go into detail - but you would need to read page after page...
so in a nutshell....
1. They don't put a contact numbers on their bills.
2. Call centre staff are not in the UK.
3. Call centre staff appear to be unmanaged - they cant or rather wont pass you on to management.
4. The system they have in place to combat fraud actually facilitates fraud.
5. I informed them that the account set up in my name was fraudulent, both in writing and numerous phone calls, they have also been contacted by my bank and finally i even got the local police to call them......but......
6. They continue to send me a number of monthly/weekly invoices, claiming i own some fifty houses as the address is wrong (they only have the postcode).
7. invoices are telling me the payment failed, when i have already told them they will never see a penny as this is a fraudulent account ! (the bank accounts since been closed)
8. Their departments are disjointed and unconnected both on a communicative level and operational level. This is evident in the fact that only one department is aware that this account is fraudulent - guess what... that isn't the billing department.
9........err, im getting bored now and my frustration is brewing......
My advise......If want to have any sort of contact with this company, do it if, and ONLY IF it's the last web hosting company in the world......
