1and1 no hopers
Currently is 5 and a half days since I opened a new domain reg only account with 1and1.co.uk. The status of the domain in the control panel still says there is a domain registration error. 7 phone calls and 9 emails later still no joy. Each time I phone I am told the transfer team are working on it "right now". No communication from anyone at 1and1 whatsoever.
Apparently the error was caused because I didn't supply an email address whilst registering with them - strange as they told me this by email to the email address I had registered with them!!
I want to register the domain elsewhere as it hasn't been registered yet by 1and1 however am loathed to do that in case it screws up something else (such as billing).
Basically stay away from 1and1 - the only good thing is that I have found the Philipine call centre staff to be polite and well mannered, despite being clueless as to how to help. [Robin] [reply]
