moving back to bath

Today I left Essex en route to Bath for my final year of uni. Dad hired a van, big enough for all my stuff plus my sister's, with room to spare. Handy that my sister, Sarah, is at uni in Bristol. The bendy windy roads of Bath weren't very helpful though - especially as I got the directions wrong and we had to reverse down a long narrow street. There was no visibility so I got out and tried to direct dad down. Five minutes of reversing later and we passed a helpful local washing his car who said "yeah, I saw you going up there into that culdesac and thought to myself, there's no way you're getting up there" -- well, thanks for telling us!

The new house in Bath is a decent size for two (lounge, kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, study and bathroom). In a stroke of luck I got the bigger of the two rooms. My housemate Steve and I decided we'd leave it to the National Lottery to decide - and luckily the balls were kind to me.

Unfortunately there's not enough storage space, which is surprising considering my stuff fitted easily into the van. I'm making tables using boxes containing books and vast quantities of booze left over from the 2nd year. At least this means they are close to hand for those lonely nights (I mean the books of course!).
